Water Efficiency, Rainwater Harvesting and Household
Greywater Reuse Course
The recent drought as well as general community emphasis towards a more sustainable future has highlighted the increasing importance of responsible water use, rainwater collection and greywater recycling options. There are many ways your water usage can be reduced, your roof water collected and even household greywater reused in the garden or within the home. Topics of this course focus on rainwater harvesting including design information, and how to maintain a healthy and clean water supply for your home. Reuse and treatment options for reclaimed water, such as direct diversion of greywater to the garden and natural wetland wastewater treatment systems, will also be covered.
The focus is on the Hunter and Wyong regions with comprehensive regulatory information on what you can and cannot do in each Council area, as well as guidance on the most chemical free and low maintenance options available.
Comprehensive notes will be provided and a range of products will be available for viewing on the day.
A brochure for the course can be downloaded from here. Adobe Acrobat is required to view this file.
